| There is a Hickory Parade this Saturday, December 10, 2011. There will be 150 fallen heroes remembered during this parade. We will all be carrying posters with each fallen hero's information. It will be my daughter Ansley's honor to walk in remembrance of Christopher White. At 7 years old, she doesn't understand it all but wanted to learn more about Christopher. She is honored to represent your loved one. I know that losing a loved one must be very hard but his time serving our country will always be remembered. God bless you and your family!

| I miss my darling, wonderful, unbelievable nephew.. I missed out so much but you hugged me in the most loving, sincere hug. You didn't judge. I'm so glad I got that love from you. We talked on the phone. I remember our last phone conversation. You were on leave and you and 2 other friends were meeting girls. You answered one of my many emails and told me you were sorry, you only answered your Mom.. That is beautiful.. I didn't care if you answered, just wanted you to know that I love you! I love you so much! Thinking of you and talk to your Mom, she is trying to be ok, just tell her to be ok..

| I was in Germany, just having retired from active duty in '05 when Mike died. I just found out today, 11 APR 2013. I was 13 days older than Mike and we were best friends back in the 9th grade. Lost touch shortly after I joined the army, and Mike Martinez is a hard name to sort through on the internet. Just figured it out today, and now I am not so glad that I did. I liked it better when Mike was still 'out there' smiling and being the great guy that he was. I will miss you brother. Hopefully, Daniel will see this and drop me a line at mahanamc@gmail.com
